Bloomfield Track

The car now fully repaired and extensively tested by Rodney and myself, we're off!
Taking the Bloomfield track north to The Lions Den Hotel is a superb, scenic and fairly steep drive with low range needed on some of the hills and some rocky creek crossings with beaut swimming holes.

We were assured this was croc free!? Continuing along the Bloomfield track we met up with 2 guys on BMW 800's on their way to Bramwell station for an adventure bike meeting. They sure made the track look easy!
We met some unexpected wildlife in Wujal Wujal.
Bloomfield Falls is an amazing sight even in the Dry. There are crocs in here!

The Lions Den is a great place for a cold beer or 6, a good feed and some great camping. Everyone writes on the walls inside, a throwback to the 1880's when tin miners left their pay packet behind the bar and wrote their spendings on the wall.

No shortage of kebabs at the Lions Den! We met the owners of the other KK, Anika and Rod here, and as they are also heading to Cape York, we hope to cross paths again.
